Karima Alamudi

Karima is available on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Karima studied Hearing and Speech Sciences at Sydney University, which lead her to further pursue Audiology. She completed her Masters of Clinical Audiology at The University of Melbourne in 2009 and has gone on to work in a number of different practices including government and private organisations as well as clinical research into “Trainable Hearing Aids”.

Karima has expertise in working with adults to diagnose various types of hearing loss and if needed, helping to tailor a solution to reach their communication goals. To achieve this, Karima has extensive experience fitting the latest technology in hearing aids and implantable devices from all major manufacturers. Karima also particularly enjoys the challenge in working with children of all ages using a variety of different methods to establish their hearing and middle ear function in a fun and comfortable manner.

Karima regularly attends workshops and seminars to keep up to date with the fast growing hearing aid technology industry. She also likes to keep on top of the latest research in order to maintain best-practice in her work. Karima is an Accredited Audiologist with Audiology Australia and holds a current Certificate of Clinical Practice.

In her spare time, Karima enjoys travelling, bushwalking and spending time with her family.

Lauren Wu

Lauren is available on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Lauren completed her Bachelor of Education in Special Education majoring in Hearing Impairment over a decade ago. She worked as a Teacher of the Deaf before completing her Masters in Clinical Audiology at Macquarie University in 2015.

Lauren has experience working with both paediatric and adult patients. She has expertise with the fitting of appropriate devices to suit the patients’ needs from hearing aids to implantable devices. She is passionate about her profession and doing the best for her clients, and regularly attends training and professional development activities to keep her knowledge and skills up to date. Lauren is an Accredited Audiologist with Audiology Australia and holds a current Certificate of Clinical Practice.

In her spare time, Lauren enjoys reading and hunting for her next favourite book.
